Vars Skyr is made using a simple, traditional recipe: Skimmed milk Live yoghurt cultures No added sugar No preservatives No gelatin No rennet No animal-derived enzymes No alcohol This keeps the skyr thick, high in protein, and naturally fermented.

Vars Skyr is a fresh, chilled product. When kept refrigerated and unopened, it is best consumed within 19–20 days from production. Once opened, we recommend consuming it within 3–4 days.

Vars Skyr is not halal certified at this stage. However, it is made only from skimmed milk and live cultures, with no non-halal ingredients such as gelatin, rennet, animal enzymes, or alcohol used in the product. We believe in full transparency and are currently exploring formal halal certification.
