Vars Skyr is a fresh, chilled product with a total shelf life of about 2 weeks (15 days) from the day it's made.We only send out tubs with plenty of time left — your tub will always have at least 7 days of shelf life remaining when it reaches you.If you order more than one tub, we make sure they're not all from the same batch. The extra tubs will be a little newer, so they'll still be well within date by the time you get to them. This is especially true with our Buy 6, Pay for 5 deal — we know 6 tubs won't disappear in a week, so the later tubs in your order are made fresher to match.Once opened, we recommend enjoying your skyr within 3–4 days.
Vars Skyr is not halal certified at this stage.
However, it is made only from skimmed milk and live cultures, with no non-halal ingredients such as gelatin, rennet, animal enzymes, or alcohol used in the product.
We believe in full transparency and are currently exploring formal halal certification.

Not yet. Vars Skyr is a fresh, refrigerated product, so we currently only deliver within Cape Town. We’re looking for partners in other major cities across South Africa to help us expand.Because Vars Skyr needs to stay refrigerated, shipping individual orders to other cities isn’t currently possible.
